Distal Row
- The trapezium is aligned with metacarpal I.
- The trapezoid is aligned with metacarpal II.
- The capitate is aligned with metacarpal III.
- The hamate is aligned with metacarpals IV & V.
Proximal Row
- The scaphoid is aligned with the radius.
- The lunate is aligned with ulna.
- The pisiform is the little “pea.”
- The triquetrum is the only other bone to which the pisiform is attached.
