BOTANY 100                 CONCEPTS OF BOTANY

Summer 2008

Botany 100 Concepts of Botany is a 4.0 unit non-major’s course. This course encompasses the origin, diversity, structure, and internal processes of plants, as well as their relationships with other organisms, and with the non-living physical environment.  It fulfills the general education requirement of a science course with a lab (SBCC general education requirement in natural sciences).  This course is also transferable to UC and CSU as a general education laboratory science course. Biology majors are welcome to take this course in preparation for other courses in the Biological Sciences; however, biology majors will not receive credit toward their major for this course.  You must enroll in, attend, and pass the lab as well as the lectures to pass this course.
